I'm cheap.. I buy clothes at my dirt cheap thrift store but I will spend 300 on one pot in a heartbeat.

That was one of the "gifts" I have asked for and have gotten (if it involves making a meal I will be given it), at first I thought, oh heck I can just use the blender, but I am so glad I have one. It gets used way more than I thought. Grate cheese, slice veggies, and lots more, so much easier and faster than chopping myself. Was really worth it, even if it had to be a gift.I would like to invest in a good processor type thing..I'm not a fan of too many gadgets but that is one I need to get.
Although I would probably only use it once or twice a year.
I think these type of gifts are the best..I'd much rather have something I really want then something I don't and will never use...like an expensive bottle of perfume. That was one of the "gifts" I have asked for and have gotten (if it involves making a meal I will be given it), at first I thought, oh heck I can just use the blender, but I am so glad I have one. Oh, I agree, but when I was younger I would ask for stuff like a new fishing pole one year, silver earrings, one year, and a 16 gage shotgun another. I am hard to buy for and DH really does do a good job. I also make lists of things I would like that he can pick from. We all do that in our house.I think these type of gifts are the best..I'd much rather have something I really want then something I don't and will never use...like an expensive bottle of perfume.
I'd kill my Dh if he ever brought me a bottle of something I would never use.
That's what gumbo and jambalya is all about. you throw in whatever you have or want into the mix. So it can be different every time. If you want cajun of either, don't use tomato; the creole version has tomato in it. We do creole in New Orleans. but lots of people prefer cajun.I have never made a just chicken gumbo...
I think I am going to make one tomorrow.
I will probably end up adding all my other regular meats in it though.
I'm with you Kikis. I hope she can return soon. And praying these next two storms go north of her location.Still thinking about you Miss @theuglyduckling
