Well I ate too much and didn't finish taking the final pics of the gumbo today.

Today is a sad day. My avatar passed away about 6:30 this morning She snuggled with me this morning when I got up, went and got a drink and laid down by the door and went to sleep. When I came back in she was gone. DW is devastated. Sorry for sharing the sad news.

So sorry for your family at the loss of special Prancer. Our dogs give so much love and are hard to let go. Glad you had those snuggles this morning...her way of saying goodbye.

Oh God bless her heart rjohn. they do take a piece of our heart with them when they go don't they ?our last smooth collie girl is over 13 now .she's still with us but I know how you feel.
The rest all passed before her .

just turned on the weather channel, how are our people in the northeast doing? Know they are very busy, but if they take a break, would love a short check in like. " I am ok"

Catching up on what I've missed over the weekend... At this point it looks like South Eastern CT, RI, the Cape and Long Island will get some rain, wind and surf; but overall not something to run and hide about. I'm thinking about having my son keep the inner door to the run closed, keeping the girls under the roofed section of the run, so that if any limbs fall they at least have roof over their heads. We'll put up the lawn furniture and the grill, and that's about it. Not a huge deal.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I really feel your pain, a little over a year ago I had to let my 18 yr old rat terrier go. Its so much like losing a piece of yourself. And for anybody who would be offended by this.... wth is there to be offended about?? There's nothing to be offended about!

So glad it looks like more of an inconvience than a real problem, good luck to all in Juan's path. Those in both Juan's and Maria's path are remaining in my prayers. We've kept our girls locked up for nasty thunder storms with high winds to keep them from being blown around the yard! LOL

I am never going to be able to "quit" BYC.. I will be forever waiting for her to get power back.
