I've never quite understood. Had a good friend eat dinner than when he found out what he ate acted sick. If it tastes good, enjoy it. pretty much my thoughts. In survival school I ate things I'd never eat again--but truth be known it wasn't really that bad. Just gross to look at.

my best friend her husband taught survival made us go right... we brought twinkies.....
I'm very fussy

Educating the kids. They all liked hot dogs. I ask them what they put in a "hot dog". None knew, so I would enlighten them.
Everything but the squeal! Everything from pig lips to ***holes and some of everything in between.

Put them off hot dogs and baloney for a while.

still I buy all beef I still know what is in them

A bear ate my bees.:(

I'm so sorry!

My tractor guy tells me they are being driven east toward me as well as west toward me by land developers... They are buying up 100+ acre farms and turning them into sub-divisions. ARG:he

That stinks big time. They started doing that slowly around here. There's a 55 acre farm around the corner from us that's up for sale. We're beyond broke but I'd love to buy it up before any developers can. Probably never happen unfortunately :/

Growing up, I refused to hate both hot dogs and balogna. I just didn't like them but knowing what's in them affected me too. Since I was pregnant with my son, I started eating hot dogs. Still can't stand balogna though.

Mine too and I'm an incredibly fussy eater (although not as bad as I was when I was a kid). Even if it tastes BAD, I'm all about good manners. If someone's made you a meal, you eat it, you don't start quizzing them about what it is and dictating what they put in it.
Choosing what you eat is a luxury we have from affluence. You're lucky to have anything on your plate and if you can't realize that there's no hope for you, IMO. Besides, even as a fuss-pot, I can't see the issue with ground meat in chilli. It's not like monkey brains or pigs' trotters, where it looks gross. Anyone who's eaten a commercially-made meat pie has eaten all sorts of gross "gizzards", worse than bear or bison meat.
What is a pig trotter?
I would have to guess feet.
Am I right??
