What do you use for perches? We have been using tree limbs/branches that are about the right diameter for our hens toes to grasp comfortably (not too small).

Frostbite? Never heard of it. Must be something from the great white north. Please support the northern wall to keep the Canucks out and their frostbite!

How did the bamboo work? Neighbor has some giant (40' tall!) that I've been tempted to use for a couple of projects. Just haven't asked yet. Ever use a chainsaw on grass?

Anyone tried giant bamboo skids for a chicken tractor? Or a bamboo chicken tractor? Since pastured chickens eat grass and bamboo is a grass, you would have "grass in chicken in grass". LOL

@Ursuline Chick New recipe. 1/2 cup tea, 1/4 cup fruit juice (cranberry and black cherry) and 1/4 Cherry moonshine. No robitussin!

@KikisGirls - does Kiki have Cochins? If you do, did you name one Carol?

Perches are in, stock pot clean and ready for stuff.

Bamboo worked fine, but I need to grow it bigger. I left a bunch of leaves on it and it was hilarious watching the chickens perching and eating
