Brought Rupert inside for the evening and I'm trying to get to the point where I can leave the room door open. Out of 8 cats, 7 are like...."yeah, ok, it's a chicken", but my youngest is trying TO BE a chicken and hang out with him. If she'd sit still for a photo, I'd post it....

Kiki, my favorite Peruvian recipe is lomo saltado. I'll have to dig up the recipe for you. Funny enough, I got it from a Peruvian friend after sharing a gumbo and shrimp jambalaya. He didn't understand Andouille sausage and kept trying to make it with polish sausage. I brought him the andouille and he did a wonderful job.

rjohns, here a swamp really is a swamp. We leave the city and go to the swamp to relax. And it is quite beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Very much like your mountains!!

Taking a break from work and checked the news...should not have done that. CA wildfire situation looks out of control! Hubby was fretting over the Sonoma race track last night...I said heck with that! The wineries are devastated!!! But my thoughts are with all of those losing their houses, etc.
And then I see....Ophelia.....

But I think that's going away from the U.S.????

I know I caught some of that on the news after work, how awful. Something about part of Puerto Rico hit yet again, but haven't caught up on that yet, just saw that before climbing into bed, where I am now, checking in here.

so sorry I saw at least 15 dead and hundreds missing on the news just a bit ago. How awful and they are moving so fast.
