I use the kind for cats/dogs just stick the tip in and clip. You don't have to take much,chicken toenails don't grow very fast.
I may have to learn to cut toenails on the Silkie good guess cat nail clippers would probably be my choice, I actually have a pair that will do a dog nail fast but I dremel those do use it on dew claws every now and then

I needed that! The one i have with the wattle bite stayed on the nest all day,at roost time i had to go get her thought there might be a issue. Stuck my hand in the box and poof instant puffed hen! Felt under she had already laid,goofy thing is trying to go broody. As much as I love chicks,she can't be doing that. :)
