T

They wont be ready til tomorrow? Great I can drive over for some after I let the girls out for the day. I'll even stay and do the dishes!
I am going to cook the slab of meat in the crockpot over night.
I MAY make the masa crap today.
Then tomorrow I will be 'making' the tamales and cooking them.
So yep you have time to get here.
:yesss:

Growing up we ate tamales from Louisiana not the Mexican ones.
I've never looked into making the cajun ones...I should they are better imo.

Well, today I'm planning on canning 19 pints of cannellini beans and making a pot of Tuscan soup with the remaining beans.
Cannellini beans....Tuscan soup, I really need one of those doors that open and close themselves for my hens (and an automatic feeder) so I can just travel to everyones' homes for food tasting.

I'm making it. We get our week day food from HomeChef... and this is one of the recipes this week. It makes life a little easier, having it all planned out already, but what I really like is trying stuff I haven't had before.
How neat!
Awesome!
Is this where they deliver everything you need for a meal and all you do it follow directions to cook it?

Pretty much. This is what we had Sunday... It was awesome... no leftovers. and they sent everything listed. They expect you to supply olive oil for the pan or water... this recipe, because it called for so much canola oil, they sent it.

We had a tamal (think that is correct for 1, please correct me if I am wrong) man in the pre k days, they were slightly different, much smaller, and I am afraid I really like them both. Daddy used to eat them on crackers. LOL

Tamale is one.
Tamales is more than one.

Next week we're gonna get salmon and steak... and I can't afford that, let alone both in the same week.
I'm guessing I might end up skinny if I had to live on those type portions.
NO Leftovers.....heck no.
What would the Mexican take to work?
I would die.
I over cook as it is.
