Keep him penned. He should not be walking on the foot to much for a few days. It needs to be cleaned good. Things you can use to treat it are quick clot (to stop bleeding if theirs fresh blood), blue more (wound treatment (also stains the red blood coloration to a less attractive darker one) and vetrycin (wound treatment) that kinda wound is hard to keep clean because of where it is so it should be bandaged.

I think you did the right things so far and yes use antibiotic ointment with no pain reliever in it. I didn’t stress that before. The pain reliever they put in it is not safe for birds. Sorry I didn’t clarify that in my post.

I will double check that there is no pain reliever thank you!! Hes up and crowing away so I hope that's a good sign!
