Have you thought of a movable tractor run? LIght and easy to build.

I built my 8 ft runs with six 2 x 2 by 8 ft long and some 3 inch star head screws.

Ihave built 3 tractor coops now .and 3 runs One a larger taller one. Runs are so simple. AND NO HELP>
The wire...would be nice if he would get it out of yur trunk but the store will put it in .if he wont Get ablanket and fold it and roll it out onto the ground
It rolls easily and just cut it off as you need it on the ground 8 ft at a time is the longest you need.
He can watch tv or help no crabbing then

Listen it seems intimi dating but you can do it and its NOT hard.Just gotta make yourself use a screw gun,a saw. No biggy.Why ithin must gir ls dont want to try it themself.A"MANS"job using tools?
But you use a washer dryer,mixer and blender, vacumn why not a saw or screw gun?
Spend time drawing up what you want and make it simple puts put it on paper puts itn yur head how to do it.Same as a recipe.What comes first

Ask a girlfriend to help Between the 2 of yu it should be fun...and less lntimating.

If yu make a mistake with screws rather than nails just undo it!!!(Icant hit a nail straight to save my life.)

.I have a jig saw ,
circular saw.(2x2'S a jigsaw will work ,)
a pencil to mark the wood
a screw gun and screws.
Brads to hammer in the "U" shaped brads to hold the hardware cloth,
Wire cutter
(I suggest the star hole screws as they are easier to use)

Use your own paycheck and if he complains say "i Am doing this all myself with my money "What can say?its worth the peace AND You GET IT DONE HOW YOU WANT.
. The 2x2s are about $2 or less a piece
The hardware cloth is the most expensive about $1 a foot.(et 2 ft high )
Get 20 1/2 ft of hardware cloth so whole thing about $30-$35 2x8x2 ft run
.It is all managable dont be over whelmed
Its easy and gets you out inthe fresh air too
Oh and Im . 67 1/2. no spring chicken either doesnt mean you need to bein a rocker and a girl ?.Hey arent you as smart as he is ? You CAN do it!!GO GET UM!!!

Yup, MMM-Hmmm and oh yes!!! You are right and I 'repent'. Even though it takes me 5 times longer to do it.....it is actually fun to do some of those projects.

Your husband (bless his memory) did you a great service & favor by not spoiling you. You were ready for the unexpected. I have often thought of that. Or also the situations of younger ones who spouses are in the military and gone for long periods. We do need to know we can to do it.

May take 5 times longer b/c the men do it more often, b/c women are intimidated by the loud tools and the idea of " buiiding something" b/c its always been that way for ages.Once you pick up a tool and use it ...it is like any tool
Anything new for any one it will take longer than someone who has done it before. Women dont have a corner on being slow b/c its "guy stuff"GUY STUFF isnt any more complicated than GIRL stuff.Some of its too heavy for most women as mena ARE Strongerbut if weight doenst come into it ...then men and wone are equal You just do girl stuff more in your life
If he made a dinner or sewed up a seam . it would take longer for him i bet.Took me just as long to sew up a dress for my little girl when thye were young.Made tons of mistakes. MY friend could sew do the same thing in a hour or 2 b/c the did it a lot..I get better each time i do one of these coops and runs.The coops were pretty crude but this one is pretty nice .

And as they say if you want somthing done right do it yourself.and its so satisfiying to accomplish something you never did before.

already feeling. I think it's a 'heavy' thing to be a man. I know that mine needs lots of encouragement for the good things he's already doing. It takes wisdom to be a wife
that can read between the lines and get a glimpse of his perspectives
