That'll be difficult concidering where they are at and how many chicks are there. I will definitely up the dose. Thank you! We had so many chicks as to why I didn't get the oral Corid. However now that I know correct dose, I will up it. How long do I give the 2 Tsp a gallon to them? That is not enough. You are under dosing them, this is why they are still pooping blood and dying.
Regular dosing is 1.5 teaspoon but for an outbreak (why your seeing blood) of Cocci it is 2 teaspoons.
Start over.
Do this first to each chick:
Mix 1/2 teaspoon of Corid with 2 teaspoons of water....give 0.07 ml or 4 drops to each chick for 3 days.
PLUS offer the 2 teaspoons of Corid mixed with the water for 5 days.
Oh they drink pretty well. I tend to have to refill their waterer atleast twice a day. Morning and evening, if they show signs of NOT drinking then I definitely will! Thank you!5 days.
BUT if they don't drink it/a lot of it then it's not necessarily going to work.
I'd still try to give them a few drops straight to the mouth.
Grab one...drop it then stick it in a temp bin...grab another...same thing.
You can do it.
Will do! Thank you! I know 1 is pooping blood as there has been blood stuck to it. However everyone else I think it's ok. Haven't noticed anythingOk Great....If you spot one poop blood you should grab it out and treat it by mouth.
