Why the frown?

ETA: I should be frowning-candled a couple of my Call eggs yesterday and nada, zilch, zippo. Keeping my fingers crossed that it was just those 3.

Aw, I'm sorry about the geese-I know you must be disappointed.
Just think though, not long and you'll be hatching out some Call ducks...come on, you know that makes you happy.

I was told by my parents to focus on one breed and I dont know what breed to focus on

You mean one breed of duck? Puhleeze, that's an easy one!!!!

Just kidding.
If you plan on getting into showing/breeding, that really isn't a bad idea your parents have. It makes it a whole lot easier to focus all of your time and attention to working on the one breed.

I wanna HUG and SQUEEZE him and call him MINE! LOL

But were leaning towards Muscovy ducks cause they dont quack, come in many colors, and can forage without me worrying about the call ducks flying away...
But I will miss the quacking noises though

*Lightbulb* Do call ducks make very very good pets?

Yes, they make fantastic little pets. They are very social, friendly and curious. They'll follow you around, nibble on your shoes, let you hold them...
Win/win with the little Calls. PLUS-they don't eat too much and they only need a kiddie pool for swimming!

I know I would love them but I'm still not sure yet though.....
Could I let them free range? Thats the only problem I would have and if they would fly away?

If I dont have school tomorrow I see if I cant make my mind up tomorrow and stick to it

Ya know, they really aren't the best choice for free ranging. I only allow mine to free range when I'm outside. The little hens will call in every predator for a mile-quiet, they ain't!
They do fly around a bit, but not far-then they panic and want to come back to the rest of the flock.
