something i am doing is WRONG. I have sixteen eggs in LG still air ( i know everyones favorite) just candled them and from what i can see i MIGHT have two. I can see blood rings in most of them. I tried a hatch before this (this is number 2) and got zero. so i spent hours on here trying to get it right. but it doesn't look this way. i bought a hydro/thermo at walmart. stands up with magnet clip on the back. also decided that in cartons was the way to go. just found out that i should have been turning them more. moved to heated basement away from all heaters and windows.

please help me!

what is the temp and humidity on a still air? is it taken at wire screen with gauge laying down? or standing up ?
they are really close to the top being in cartons.

turn them at least three times.?

don't touch them.

please straighten me out so i too can have those cute babies running around.

still air should be 101F. humidity 30-40% 1-17 and day 18 50-60% humidity. turn them at least 3 times a day from day 1 -17 day 18+ dont touch.

level to the eggs. Also you may need a better hygrometer. Your using the springfield magnetic clip hygro right? They blow. I use the springfield one with a prob and put the prob level to the eggs.

sorry to keep asking questions. is at the level of the top eggs or the bottom? i am using a carton.

i am sorry i must not be making my question clear.
i just took the top of for one second to snap this pic. see how i have the thermometer? it reads just now 100.4 with 31%.
that is not where i should be doing a reading?

Oh thats perfect lol. I forgot what a styro bator looked like. I would buy a second hygro (preferably with a probe) to make sure that ojne is working right and not 3F high or 3F low.
