Its the same for those of us in warmer climates... we just cant figure out why yall are panting when its only 80 out..

But i manage well enough in winter...as long as i keep both stoves going and layer clothing .. lots of layers..

LOL. In our house it is necessary to have a furnace, a wood stove, and oil heaters going throughout the house and it is still very cold in some places!!!

Perhaps something that is less about the north and more about the actual breed? Snowflake Sussex, Snowdriven Sussex, Northern Light Sussex (play on northern lights and also includes light sussex)

Something that will make your progeny stand out. There's a big marketing difference between something that came from "a farm called ____" and something like "oh this is a Snowflake Sussex"

We just have a woodstove (and a normal heater) that we use. Down here, spring and winter last about 3 months combined!

We are living in as we build in, a metal arch building so it can get down right cold in here... its not uncommon for it be 35 in the mornings during winter, before ive kicked up the stoves from being bedded down overnight...
