I hope things get easier for all of you, just give them some time and yes probably bribery:D. I am glad they went to a good home, Thank you

Yes, those Pekins are very loud, the girls mostly!!! I've only got one at the present time. Anytime she seems me, she just goes off!!!! Ya gotta love her though! She gets along real well with all the chickens too!

I hear people say that they're Pekins are loud. I guess its how you look at things. I don't think mine are at all. But then again I have trumpeting Sebastopol geese on the other side. I can't even hear the Pekins except for a loud quack from Queen Lucy every once in a while. LOL

Good luck with your new Pekins!!

You will love the Pekins...I adore mine...I have a few...a pic of "the stampede" through the gate to their secondary yard...they stand at the gate and create a lot of noise until I open it up and let them go...they are funny, silly, loud, but funny...did I say funny? Enjoy your new babes...

I like that attitude. Sauted ducks breasts are delicious.

Thanks for the link to your site ... Cant wait to watch the videos...

Not my site, but Maple Leaf Farms. They are located in Indiana where you are from, and are comprised of 140 farms. They are vertically integrated, meaning they own the hatcheries, feed miils, farms and processing plants. Yearly production is something like 16 million pekin ducks a year, making them the largest duck producer in the US. Culver farms in Indiana produces about 3.5 million ducks a year. Compared to a total US production of 22 million ducks per year, it is safe to say that Indiana is king.

Awesome I didnt even know they where in Indiana /... Might have to make plans for 'field trip" with my DS'S someday.. That sure would be a sight to see....
