I am outraged about false piggies!!! *rant

Here in FL Feb/March is usually dairy goat kidding season, though there are exceptions. It's later farther north. Most breeders sell between 2-3 months old, unless they sell bottle babies, then it's earlier. So, I say try in spring.

Not necessarily. A lot of northern breeders still kid out in February and March to take advantage of the lack of parasites. Snow and ice on the ground mean that most parasites are inactive. So by the time spring makes things warm and wet, the kids are a bit older and have stronger immune systems. Of course, there is always the chance of a doe doing something silly and dropping her kids in a snowbank*. BUT most breeders will also put does who are due to kid in a dry, draft free barn.

*A breeder I know had a doe start kidding unexpectedly and early, and did just that! All the kids, PLOP! right in the snow, and no effort to dry them off. Thankfully the breeder discovered them pretty quickly, and all the kids recovered from their chill without any problems.

I watched a video where a guy had his doe give birth on concrete... :[
It looked like a parking garage.

Obviously that guy is not an example of a GOOD breeder, then. Most provide a comforting kidding stall with plenty of clean, dry shavings or straw. Please don't judge all people with goats because of one example.

It did not read as a negative comment about goat breeders in general to me, just an addition to "goats giving birth in weird places" discussion. :)

Moochie: http://www.pigplacementnetwork.com/findapiggy.htm Some of the pigs on there are listed as being 3 and older but in the 60 to 90 pound range. If their various ages are correct, those would be some nicely sized little piggies.

Oh and at 1:40 you can see her mom's pigs. She says they are micro minis but they look like regular pot bellies to me :hmm
This is her family's farm and they live in Kentucky. Those pied peafowl are beautiful! I've never seen pied peafowl before! I'm amazed at all their critters, I only have basic poultry.. For now anyways. I will for sure get goats if my uncle decides to buy this house with 2.2 acres of land.

What she say's is right and wrong. I have seen many people selling regalur pigs as mini pigs . Yes, they do take pictures of the piglets just after they are born. But there are also small pigs out there. I bought two Kune-kune pigs and they only get 24" tall when fully mature, at 7 months old mine are only a foot tall, But can weigh up to 120 lbs when older. like a bull dog short and stocky. I also pruchased two chinese potbelly pigs and there parents where 14 inches tall the guy told me they weighed 70 lbs but if he did't tell me I would say they looked about 40 lbs. they weigh about 5 pounds and are 3months old. But then again pigs are very solid little guys. And yes I am going to cross breed them.
Pigs are very clean animals. and don't have fleas like are furry pets. though mine are outside they have a place in their pen where the use the bathroom. they dont just **** all over the place and love to take a dip in their wading pool when it's hot. I would say this ti them living inside, there a cleaner then some people are.
