I am ready to admit its a boy! But what about the other one?

At much as I hate to admit it, @3KillerBs and others were correct - we got a boy. They are 11 weeks old today.

#1 is definitely a boy - I can see the saddle and sickle feathers clearly.

#2 is a little less clear to me and still hoping I have a pullet.

There is a group picture of all four - I am sure we have at least 2 pullets, and I am hoping it is three. We have only heard/seen #1 crow.

Plan is to keep the cockerel and see how he does with Cogburn. It seem the group is already a new flock, but we shall see if the cockerel simply has a "supervisor" role for now; POL will reveal a lot.

What do you think about #2 - cockerel or pullet? 🙏

Thanks!

I'm on a small screen so I can't see clearly. Can you get your hand or a piece of paper under the saddle feathers?
@3KillerBs here are pictures of #2 above. Sorry if there are some duplicates - my mouse is going bizerko on me. Not really good quality pics. Let me know what you think and/or if you need additional pictures.

On a side note...#1 above mounted one of the hens who HATES Rooster Cogburn when he was out of sight tonight. No doubt in his intentions. :lau

You *may* have a fast-maturing pullet, given the complete absence of any pointy saddle feathers but it's more likely to be a slow maturing cockerel because even my faster-maturing girls aren't red in the face like that at 11 weeks.

Check for pointy saddles again in a couple weeks -- look right down under the other feathers.
