I am sooooo divorced....FINAL UPDATE pg 11 ***Photos***

I didn't take it as disrespectful, just you voicing your opinion. Everyone has one.

Me, my opinion is I am excited about my newest pets and understand fully what I am getting myself into. With so many people getting new chicks on the forum, you have to make your thread jump out, lol thus my title. If my husband were going to divorce me, he would have done it by now, lol trust me. I've done a lot worse things than fill our house with animals

I love my chickens...my cats....my dogs...my ferrets and every other animal for that matter. My animals are my pets and I go into the "relationship" knowing and accepting this. A pet is for life, not just till you grow bored with it. This is how I was raised and how I am raising my children.

So, anyone know what types of banties I have?

Lol yeah it's perfect. They won't set foot in there

It also takes care of the other problem I had...clothes not being taken and put away in a timely manner. Nothing like a little chicken dust to make everyone gather their clothes quickly after they come out of the dryer

But the true part is, my husband didnt notice the silkie I through in there a week ago...I am just trying how to explain to him what it is once they all feather out..."No, honey, that is not a new one...it just a weird mutation of our buff orps, we should feel lucky".....

I was thinking the same thing, but it might be easier to just lurk here. Looks like lots of chicken loving chicks will soon be single!

We are very lucky to have Glenda here on this board. I used to receive her newsletter and love reading her posts on chicken care.

I would hazard to guess she has forgotten more about chicken keeping than most of us will ever know.

I understand that everyone has their own opinion; however, we have to remember that this website is called "Backyard Chickens". This is a hobby for many of us, and not a commercial endeavor. A lot of people have dogs, cats, fish, lizards, etc. and take very good care of them, as many of us do with our chickens. I am so happy that I found this web forum with so many people that have the same interests that I do!

If for some reason chickens are outlawed, I guess we'll all have to figure out how to deal with it, if and when it happens. I work at a state facility, and we have been told for years that we may close. I go to work every day hoping it doesn't close, but in the meantime, I have to live my life. I love my job, and I just can't think negatively about it. I guess we all do what we have to do to get through this life!

Anyway, my point is, enjoy your chicks! Carpe diem!

Thank you. No, they were just sold as straight run mixed bantams. They are from Privett Hatchery in NW, the one most of the local feed stores here use now. I will try and post more photos in a week or two to see if anything stands out breed wise. Doesn't really matter though I do like knowing what I have if possible.

Lol Oh I know, it is already bad. I get a mouth full of feathers every time I bend down to get a load of laundry

I normally wouldn't put them in there but I am going to be painting that room as soon as they all go out to the new coop. I figured this was a good way to actually make me clean it and paint it since I've been saying I am going to do it for over a year now!
