I was thinking the same thing, but it might be easier to just lurk here. Looks like lots of chicken loving chicks will soon be single!

Looking for a woman too, must go broody once a month,(lots of eggs here) be able to haul water, carry 50 lb sacks of feed, not afraid of birds. Only looking for good broody women(lots of chicks here).

Must also meet me at the door naked with a drink and pizza.

Hahaha I'm not so sure but one can dream

He is building me the coop of my dreams right now and he does tolerate them - though he wants to rename them all to food-like names, lol - so I feel pretty lucky. He always says "no more animals/chickens" but who listens to men anyway?

My dad and brother do the same thing. [me] what should i name them? [borther or dad] chicken fingers, rotisserie, dinner, ext. UGH...

I've greeted my husband at the door more than once with. "I can explain!" and the he sees the new chicks. Or ducklings. Or tadpoles and frogs for the kids. Then there was the goat. Sigh.

That's the same with me! I know that i have to do work to have chickens, they are soooo cute. but whats the point of having animals and not taking care of them, i ENJOY taking care of my animals [and other peoples animals] i do it everyday. I am younger, and i take care of 18 chickens, work at an alpaca farm, babysit dogs, take care of my cousins horses and LOVE every minute of it!!!I do evrything with the animals and i mean EVRYTHING![pm me and i will tell you everything] I am definetly not like kids i know. Some of my friends think im CRAZY! I definetly thought it through, and i do everything im supposed to do and more. I would take care of my chickens no matter what!!![and other animals]. I would even like to open a cat shelter!

I don't even know if i can have chickens where i live. But i live in the suburbs [oh how i wish i lived in teh rural area]. We just got chickens. My dad doesn't care and won't put up any crap from the town. In fact the town never comes to anyone in our family and complains about getting a lisence for a building or anything like that because my grandpa argued with them and my grandpa won, so they don't even say anything! We even have a rooster! My neighbors are nice and we are friends with all of them so hopefully they won't make us get rid of Andre :'''''( that would be sad. I would NEVER let anyone take him away, I would move away into the country with all my chickens! haha

My hubby cheerfully helped me buy the parts for my homemade bator, he even "installed" the window in the top. Then he freaked when he came home and there were eggs in it.

Well, what did you think I was buildin it for? to do my hair?

Now he sits in the bathroom (the only draft-free room in our house) and talks to the chicks telling them what pretty girls they are and how sweet thier voices are.

Tomorrow he goes back to the slope for 2 weeks, then he's home for 24 hours before he takes our daughter to DC on a field-trip. With any luck I can get the eggs I'm picking up Saturday incubated and hatched before he notices I "Did it again!"

I have the opposite problem.....LOL! My hubby keeps bringing home more and more chicks. I love them all, but we just got our first batch in the coop just two weeks ago. They are now two and a half months old. And no sooner did we put them in the coop, my hubby went to pick up 8 more from Ideal and recieved two more. So now a total of 27 chickens later...... im having heck with the tiny dust. It is everywhere.

No matter how much I clean it there is always more. LOL I give up at least until the new chicks get into the coop (in about two to three weeks). Oh now we have to build them a coop......work to do. HEEHEE.
