I am startng to wonder if I have roo

I believe I may have a roo. One of my California whites is bigger than the other and we never get two white eggs in one day. What do you think? No crowing. See the one on the right in the front? It's bigger.

Looks like a hen to me. How old? She looks like she is about to start laying eggs.

I agree, that looks like your hen. I don't see any signs that point to a roo. Tiny little legs, rounded saddle fathers, and a round low figure! I bet you will start getting two white eggs in a few weeks!

The birds in question were obtained as chicks end of Feb or begin of March. We have had tons of eggs all summer. Just never two white eggs on the same day even though the birds are the same age/same batch.

Does the other California White have white ears? I wonder if there is a chance that one of those birds is giving you brown eggs.

No they both have white ears.
