I am wrong or is this a SpitzHauben Appenzell???

Just wanted to thank you for making the effort to take in an unwanted rooster.

Funny you say that, as he has been living in the rugged out doors for a few weeks, this was part of the message from the really nice lady who was the one who mentioned about the rooster roaming her vacant property. She was concerned that he needed a new home... So i drove out and I got him from under the deck.

This was what she told me about him...

Thanks so much for catching him and giving him a good home. You are the best! I have no idea where he came from just showed up one day by my fenced area and stayed. He has never been aggressive to any of us and likes to take care of other animals. One day i saw him in the back of my property looking after 6 ruffed grouse. He hung out with them for a couple hours and even scared a cat away when it was stalking the little birds. He will roost very high in the trees. When he first came to my house he had no tail feathers and looked horrible. I am so grateful to Jonny anvil for taking this guy in.

I say he looks pretty darn good for the life he has had.

Better days ahead for this fellow I hope.
