i have 3 roos and 7 girls. i know that they probably fought over the girls. i used to have 9 girls but two ran off.

anyway, one of the roos is missing its top beak. ive already separated him from the other quail. his wound seems to be blocking his mouth hole to get food/water/etc...

how can i try to save this birbs life?

People may say otherwise, but the kindest and most realistic thing to do for this animal is kill it. A mutilation that far up the beak will prevent it from eating and drinking on its own, at the very least. I know people have 3D printed or sculpted bird beaks before, but unless you have the resources, it's unkind to let it linger hoping for a quick fix. If this were my quail, I would cull as soon as possible. :(

I unfortunately had to cull. It was probably better that way though.
