I am fairly new to keeping chickens in this quantity. My question is what is the best way to modify a shed to house 21 chickens to make it not only predator proof but also rodent proof. I know I have to add a run and the shed itself is predator proof but I can’t think of a run design to help me keep them safe...I’m located in Long Island New York if that helps. Thank you all!

Hello and welcome to BYC

I’d suggested to moderators that your question would be best answered on another thread. Please feel free to use the search function on shed conversion.

On this link you'll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping birds - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive
