I bought a crowing hen? XX or XY...?

Please help confirm the sex of my 13 week old Barred Rock...I was told it's a she, but she started crowing this AM. What the heck?

I don't think you need to even look at the feathers, since crowing = roo.

But since you posted a picture, I'd agree with everyone else. You've got a roo. Sorry!

You have a Rooster.

With the sex chromosomes there are no XX or XY in chickens they are ZZ Male and ZW Female.
(and the hen determine the sex of the offspring)
