I was out yardsaleing today in the next town over, and when i got back to the farm, there was a crate sitting near my chicken coop. My buddy goes you know anything about this bird being dropped off? [IMG]
then the panic set in.....[IMG] I was like omg, what if this bird is sick and some freak just dropped it off NEXT to my chickens....So i immediately went over to the crate and reached in, and got stabbbed in the hand by this.....

If it's a fighting rooster then I'd recommend to cull him

He kinda reminds me of my Welsummer roo. Maybe a cross.

  8. Quote:OH stop that. Isolate the pretty boy and do some research. If he was used in fighting his comb would be dubed.

What color are his legs. If they are green, then you have a red jungle maybe.

My red jungle fowl is one of the most prized posssesions I have.

He is protective and not aggressive.

Give him some time to get to know ya.

Quote:Why? OEGs have been bred for years to be docile with people. The color variety is Wheaten or BBR. OEGs are extremely good free range birds. Consuming very little feed above what they find foraging. Also are very good at hiding from predators.
