I can not see the air sack anymore?

I have a broody on some eggs, we are on day 19. She got off for a moment, and I sneaked a few eggs to candle. One of the eggs was completely dark, no air sack at all. What does that mean?

It means the chick has internally pipped and is filling up the egg.

How long before I might see an external pip? It has been over 12 hours since I candled and saw no air sack.

Put them back and leave them be now. It can be anywhere from 24-72 more hours before they get out.

Yep, I agree....leave them alone. Everytime you mess with them you reduce their chance of hatching.
