13.5 week old EE pullet or Roo View attachment 1046588

View attachment 1046591 View attachment 1046592 I posted before and asked for help sexing my new flock of 12; 3 Roos were correctly identified, and we got rid of them as they were crowing loudly by 8-10 weeks and we can't have roosters (due to noise). Two of the three were very alpha, protective, and kept everyone else in line. We believe we actually have two more Roos, one I am about 99% positive on (Swedish flower), the other we aren't sure but it has a large comb and waddles, thin neck feathers, and it has longer tail feathers than the other black copper maran we have. Neither of these two crow, the BCM "honks" sometimes, but is mostly quiet (see below for more details on him).
The Swedish is very skidish, got picked on a lot by the other Roos before they were ousted, and is now picked on by our adult hens, and is usually either silent or will make more hen like noises if he gets startled or he gets upset. I can't imagine he's a she, but I'm also not an expert by any stretch.
They are currently 4.5-5 months old.

Here's the Swedish flower:View attachment 1046591 View attachment 1046592 View attachment 1046593
A little precursor on the BCM; he's actually deformed, has a hunchback and his leg isn't straight. He's extremely friendly, let's you pick him up, eats out of your hand, doesn't run scared, in general he's just kind of a bit "special":

We are pretty sure the rest are pullets now.

Both are cockerels

How old? It looks like it's probably a cockerel

View attachment 1046706 View attachment 1046707 View attachment 1046705 Red junglefowl, 18-19 days. We think roo because of coloration and the tail, what do you think?

Too young, looks like a pullet so far.

View attachment 1046758 I know that this is a Silkie but I just wanted to see what you think.
"She" is 1.5-2 weeks in this pic.Im thinking hen.
I might grow "her" out to see if I am correct.

Too young

Cockerel, it looks like he might have some buff brahma in him.

I'm not sure on 3, 1 looks like a pullet, and 2 looks like a cockerel.

I'd say it's too soon to know for sure. But I see the feather patterns sort of hinting a cockerel, not so much based on the wattles. I have a SLW that developed small wattles at age of 6 weeks of age, and she's a pullet. SLW is a tricky breed to sex.

We won't do anything till we know for sure! Thanks for your input!

Frizzle Roo? please confirm. Silkie in question in back but blurred...

Thanks!!!

Chick #1 looks like a cockerel, but it's still young so I'm not sure. The silkie is definitely a cockerel. What age is the frizzle?

Too young

View attachment 1047717 View attachment 1047716 View attachment 1047715 Hi friends! Here is Pepper, 6 weeks old. I was told possibly a Black Star? Your thoughts on breed and gender much appreciated!

Pullet

View attachment 1047731 View attachment 1047730 View attachment 1047732 Here is Saffron. I was told possibly a Buff Orpington by the farmer where my chicks originated (that seems questionable). Your opinion on breed and gender appreciated. She (hopefully she anyway) makes the cutest coo noises. She is one of the larger of my four. 6 weeks old.

Pullet

View attachment 1047747 View attachment 1047746 View attachment 1047745 Okay, now here is Ginger. She is the smallest of my four. Six weeks old. She just flew up and landed on my arm when I was trying to take her photo. Would have landed on the phone itself if I didn't move! She is always super eager to greet me. I was told EE. Thoughts on breed and gender? (In the picture with multiple birds, she is second from right.)

Pullet, possibly an EE (if she lays green or blue eggs).

View attachment 1047758 View attachment 1047755 I am so impressed with all of you who manage to take such good pictures of your chickens. Photographing these youngsters is harder than taking photos of my toddler boys! So, last but not least, this is Pecker (chosen and named by my 3 year old son). Another member here told me this is a Colombian Wyandotte. I was thinking could also be a Light Sussex? Farmer has a "barnyard mix" and told me possibly a Barred Rock....?? Your thoughts on gender and breed? Pecker is 6 weeks and makes noises like an osprey when I pick her up. View attachment 1047759 View attachment 1047761 View attachment 1047763

Looks kinda rooster-like, but it's probably a pullet. It might be a light brahma

View attachment 1047780 View attachment 1047782 View attachment 1047783 8 week old silver laced Wyandotte supposed to be a pullet but looks a little like a cockerel with the wattles.

Pullet

View attachment 1047861 Can you tell by this pic at all? These light sussex are 14 weeks.

Could you take pictures of them standing up? I need to see saddle feathers to confirm.

Please sex these chicks. They are seven weeks and two days old. Thank you!

All cockerels

View attachment 1047988 View attachment 1047989 Hi. I am new to raising chickens and was having trouble determining the sex of one of my birds. I have been assuming that "he" is a rooster based on behavior but wanted expert input. Almost 8 weeks old. Thank you for any guidance.

Looks like a cockerel. Could you take pictures of it's saddle feathers?

@RoostersAreAwesome Thanks so much for your thoughts! Appreciate it.

Interested in knowing what sex you think my 6 Lavender Orpingtons are; I determined pretty early that number 1 is a roo. His wings, tail and stance are very different then the other 5 which I am hoping are pullets. Number one has just a tiny round fluff tail while the other 5 have very noticeable tall feathers growing.

What do you think?

This is my first baby chicks. Our first chickens turned 4 months old yesterday; 2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 Black Austrolops.
Too young. but I think I might see one cockerel. but not sure
