I cannot stand Craigslist sometimes... (read post #33)

I had an ad for eggs flagged and removed. I went to the help section to find out why it was flagged and removed and I got a response from someone that said because I said I would ship them is why. CL is suppose to be face to face transactions. So I put in my ad they can be picked up or I would ship them and it was left alone. I do agree that it is not right that anyone can flag someones ad just because they don't like it. I keep thinking that someday that one person (with a lot of power) that gets flagged will bring CL crashing to the ground. There is a new site getting started: www.k i j i j i.com I seperated the letters with a space so you can read it better. They are suppose to be together.

Yes, ive been on Kijiji.com they dont have one where i live... only the city 2 hours from me... siggghhhhh thanks tho!

To futher this post some more, heres what i got this morning from someone who was gonna buy a duck from me...
"I was leery about getting them anyway. I'm not interested anymore. Thanks anyway."

so I said "Leery huh? Thats strange, because your the one who wanted to meet in a more private setting. After all the wackjobs i've had come to my house, I simply choose to meet new ones at Circle K. Thanks for wasting my time."

This "person" had asked if we could meet at the entrance to some road (that leads to nowhere I might add) because there are less distractions....

Ummmmmmm no. No more wackjobs for me, already had one stalker....

We have only had good experiences when meeting people from craigslist. But we do not live in a highly populated area either. We also have some guide lines we go by.

Never give your address until the day they plan to pick up whatever.

Always talk to the person on the phone too. Don't just go by what the Email says. You can get a feel for the person at that time. If it doesn't "feel" right, just say, "I'm sorry. Someone just came and picked it up."Or " I'm sorry.I have someone coming in a half an hour to pick it up."

If picking stuff up, google map to see where exactly they live.

Do a reverse phone # check.

There are more, but I can't remember what they are right now. But these are the top ones.

Hey Fordmommy!! I live in a super small town... these crazies come out of the woodwork I tell ya. I ended up with some guy coming to my house to buy a rooster, and see what else he wanted to buy. He even cut the birds wings here at my house... then the emails began... and the instant messages.... i told him to back off, and he did for about 8 months. THEN he added me on facebook (i thought he was an add for sorority life, there was no picture.... NOPE!!) HIS WIFE emailed me and told me to back off. I explained to her i had no idea that it was HIM! (She knows hes like this). Long story short... i deleted him from facebook AS SOON as i found out, and told him if he bugged me again, id call the cops. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband makes me meet them at circle k now.
