Never saw a dog with a sack of marbles, but when a male dog is castrated the testicles are removed but the scrotum is left in place. If you want to know whether or not the dog is neutered, catch him and palpate his testicles or lack thereof.

Darn it. The dog wandered away last night and this morning I found out who the owner is.

To add-aparantly another neighbor let the dog in his yard over night but set him loose this morning. Another neighbor saw him. I called the owner and we all went looking and calling but he hasn't shown up again. I put a bowl of food and a little kibble out just in case he shows up again so I can get him.

Yep it's a redbone. The tail was docked. Any tail can be docked... not that it should.
