I can't get a scary movie out of my mind

I have 2 pistols and a few rifles and shotguns. I am a really good shot, but I have a problem remembering how to load them. But I told my 14 year old yesterday that I think it is time for her poppa to teach both of us how to load and shoot all the guns in the house. There have recently been some rapes in THIS town......of all places. That might have been on the back of my mind when I watched the movie. My husband recommended the movie. I can't imagine why.

when I watch a scary movie before bed I don't let my feet hang off the edge of the bed.....afraid someone will grab them....LOL
I am so lame. I also shut the window and double check the doors.....Oh, and I drag the dog into the bedroom with us. Don't tell my DH.

can i ask what movie it was? lol. i love scary movies. paranormal activity didn't scare me till a certain part. but i get the heebie jeebies talking of ghosts and stuff lol.

Was that "Law abiding citizen?" by any chance!? I seen that not long ago...OH MY GOSH what a horrible but good movie! I know what you mean, I thought of it forever after seeing it. Now I lock my doors too! You just never know.

The fact that it is something that CAN actually happen to you is what gets to me. Sigh. I lock the doors and windows but after watching something like that, I double and triple check. Its hard to shake those feeling for a bit!

Junkmanme, in general, I agree with you. Its not really my type of thing. Anyway, seen too much in my lifetime that its easy to have the line blur between knowing what is real or not.

Agree with ya there! That is why I refuse to watch The Saw movies...any psycho can go out and do any of that crap to someone and it is just so disturbing. Who thinks up this stuff?

I have been watching scary movies ever since I was around 11..Im 33 now.. Movies these days dont scare me. Im waiting for one that will. The only movie that actually scared me was "IT".. I have no idea why, guess it was stuff coming out of the shower and toilet that gets me.. Other than that.. Nothing really bugs me.. I think it is because I know it is fake. But I do think some times.. Boy that would be awful if it did happen in real life..

This is one thing I love about having my redneck alarm system!
When I start to spook myself, I step back and look at the sleeping dogs, and remember that they wouldn't be snoozin' if something was off.

I think thats another reason scary movies dont really scare me.. Cause my dogs are always sleeping.. They may be small, but they will sure let me know if they hear any thing.. Just a person walking up to the door, before they knock will set them off.. I love doggy alarm systems.. LOL
