I can't tell if these are worms

he's a 4 1/2 mo rooster and he doesn't seem lethargic. he's very active and protective of our pullet but he doesn't seem to be eating as much. no weight gain, either.

any help helps lol

There might be a roundworm in there, but it looks like stringy mucus. Some chicken worms cannot be seen without a microscope. If in doubt, have a local vet check some fresh poop samples for worms. Another chose would be to go ahead and worm him wih Valbazen 1/4 ml for a bantam once by mouth, and repeat it in 10-14 days.
