Your husband needs a perspective change, fast! It's not okay to yell about a childs haircut. I understand stress gets the better of us all but he needs to be mindful of how the children will take his words.

And sheets...roll them up in a sheet first...

Okay I was so thinking about that when the frying pan was mentioned! We are so bad!

I 'd had a salty, old timer here tell me once that when women wanted to get back at their husbands, they would roll them up in a sheet and pour hot grease in their ear! I think I'd rather be hit with the frying pan...and yes, we are bits of badness...

Debi, I'm with you in the lucky department. My wife and I both came from families where this sort of thing was routine. We both despise it and broke the cycle. So far our children maintain the changed example we set for them.

I lived like that with my first husband. Not any more. We discuss things that annoy us, and yes sometimes we yell, but rarely and it is usually over something significant.

In the picture of life, I don't think hair matters much.

Back in the dating days, my wife got herself one of them
Afro-style haircuts. That time I have to admit, I probably said
more than I should of.

But she was still her...just as your son is still the same little boy
he was yesterday.

I'm a Daddy...the absolute worse thing I could do would be to scream at
my child (or wife) to such an extent that they would be scared of me.

I really and truly would have told him to shut his nasty mouth.... and if he didnt... well he was warned.

ETA: Your such a nice person... please dont accept that treatment from anyone...

Thank you for all your kind words. I do love my husband, and after last night, as I mentioned he came in the house and said he was sorry. My husband is a really nice guy, i am not covering what happend. But he was upset there was a slight cut over near my son's ear. more than anything.

We have been together for 17 years and I know what kind of person he is. thanks again for the virtual hugs.
