I did it all by my self!

    Yesterday butchered my first chicken! 15 wk old BR roo. DH was out doctoring our bull and I took a deep breath and conquered it!

    Everyone told me to just skin it, takes to long to pluck. I plucked, stuborn that way. It took a while but hey 1 bird I think it is worth the time and kind of fun to make sure I got every last one. Sittin in brine right now, I bet he'll be yummy.

    Good for you!! I ended up butchering a Cornish X because my brother and hubby were out of town and the chicken wasn't going to make it to the scheduled butchering day. He was having leg problems and couldn't walk. I am the world's biggest wuss, but I managed. I found it helps if you just do it and don't think about it.
