Those can to be good for pullets/hens ... if you have large single combed cockrells/cocks you will want to put one 4" in ...

Bantams and pea combs should be able to make the 3" work fine ...

The advantage of 3" over 4" is less chance of them spilling, or "billing" the feed out ...

It was kinda spur of the moment... I didn't know where to find a 5-gal. bucket. Then when I was at HD today I saw these and it just went SNAP! I am gonna make one of these today. So I did.

Was a little scary. Have not used a jigsaw in 4 or 5 years. If i put 4" elbows in there, I think there would only be room for 3, maybe two. And I would get a heavier gauge bucket.
