When I worked in an afterschool program, I made up a game for my kids called, "Tell Me a Story" I would start off with Once upon a time.......then point to one of the kids and they would have to give me the rest of the line. Once upon a time there was a duck. I would give them a sheet of drawling paper and they would draw me a picture. From there on everybody would have to give me another line. "That went for a walk in the woods" By the end of snack time we would have a new book to read over and over
