I DO NOT understand some people!!!!!!

The more I think about it, I keep thinking she is trying to sell her to someone who doesnt want a vet check. I may be wrong, but something just isnt sitting right with me now.

This was my first thought, hopefully she is just letting others look in case it doesn't work out with you, but that would mean the mare doesn't pass the vet check?

They sold her out from under me today! I didnt even get to do my pre-buy!!!

She just sent me an email. Didnt even have the nerve to call. Obviously they were hiding something.... but I'm still upset!

I know it hurts now...but I'm sure an even better horse will come along soon! I'm thinking positive thoughts for you

That was dirty! Then again, you may be right. She may have not been telling you everything about the horse. Maybe she would not have passed a vet check. There are soooooo many good horses for sale right now. You could also check reputable rescues. Lots of good horses are being turned over now a days.

That's awful! But, you may have dodged a bullet. Luckily, there's a lot of great horses out there that will get along with you, also, and owners who wouldn't mind you dong a vet check on them.

I am sorry some folks word is not worth zip. However I would write up a contract of sorts and have them sign it or bring the person who is going to look at the animal with you when you go the first time.

Perhaps you don't want to do business with her anyhow. I do know that folks have gotten burned waiting for a buyer who just drags their feet. A B$rd in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I've waited for chicken people to come and then they don't. They don't even call. What am I supposed to do when someone else who may be serious calls? For me the first one with the money gets the deal. Otherwise I'd be stuck with chicks.

Sorry and I hope you get the horse but if you don't try to see things from her point of view.

I gotta believe things will work out for the best.

Love ya

Even tho she said she would hold the horse for you, I wouldnt expect her to not sell the horse if she had the opportunity. For all she knows you would change your mind, or just not follow thru. Happens all the time. If someone walks in, with cash in hand, ready to buy the horse, would you really expect her to say, well, I have someone who said they might buy the horse next week if the horse passes a vet exam....

It does sound to me like she was concerned about the vet check. Why else would you turn down a buyer who offers a cash deposit? I don't understand that. It's pretty hard to sell a horse these days. I am sorry you didn't get her, but maybe it's a blessing in disguise.
