You know, I can't help but think, the crazy loonies we have running loose in this world might be something/someone to keep an eye on. I think this guy might qualify. I always think of people like Jim Jones and the one in Texas who led their followers to their deaths . .

It often seems that the ones who are shouting the loudest about how holy they are and quickest to point the finger are the ones who are the biggest phonies, the ones with the most to hide. They think that if they tell the big lie loud enough no one will dare question them.

Hi everyone. This thread reminded me of the meeting my hubby to be and I had with the priest for our wedding. The priest spent the hour telling my husband to indulge my needs for material things! Huh?! My husband hasn't been to church since our wedding 30 years ago!

I remember the meeting that the Princess and I had with the priest prior to our wedding. He basically told us that we could not be married in the church. We then chose to have a non sectarian wedding at the university chapel. This same priest refused to show up and perform a service for my father in law when he died. Organized religion? This family doesn't do it.

We don't do organized religion anymore, either. On another note, I did hear a silly joke related to the pope abdicating; Ratzinger's new title? Ex-Benedict! sorry....
