Ok I just got off the phone with Alan just now and it looks like I'm not going to be getting any birds from him. His post office won't ship to mine via Express mail. It seems that the closest post office they will ship to is 5 hours away. So I'm depressed now. It seems like Im never going to get me any silkies at this rate.

I checked my last resort. TSC and they only have laying chicks. RIR, BR things like that.

After going back and forth. It looks like I wont be able to buy any chickens out of state and have them shipped to me. My state only accepts express mail by way of fedex planes. Nashville and Knoxville airports are the only ones that accept Fedex planes. Those airports are very far away from me. And I have kids that get car sick if we drive for more then 30 minutes. So everything is looking pretty bleek for me..

Memphis is still 6 hours away from me. I need to find a way to get my kids a baby sitter so I can make a trip to one of these cities. I'm like right in the center of all of them. You would think they would have no problem shipping to me.

Can you get some hatching eggs from Alan? That's the only way I can think of (right now) to get around it.

heh. I don't have an incubator unfortuantly. I've been trying to get one but no luck. We've been in a bind lately and very tight with money. Or else I would just buy one. My hubby told me he would get me one for my birthday in July. But till then I'm out of luck.
