I forgot my incubator was runnin?UPDATE:1 HATCHED.I HAVE TO CULL IT

my guess about a 25% hatch, At best 60% how many eggs did you set.
Not turning will show at hatching time, they may need help getting out. Not turning they stick to the shell.

No water depend on what the humidity is in the room with the incubator, 16 % not the worse for just a fewdays.

GOOD LUCK.

I candled tonight before I put my eggs in the hatcher. I have movement in 5 out of 6 eggs!!! I am so excited, since I neglected them in the beginning with no turning the first 9 days. I cracked the 6th one and it had a broken yolk- no development. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I have to work the next 3 nights- so there's a good chance I will miss them hatching. How are yours doing P0U1TRYP3RS0N???

Yay Erin! I was about to update--two of the eggs r alive, but only one looks like it might hatch....the other one the embryo is stuck to the shell

. I filled all the humidity reservoirs last night.....there are water droplets on the viewing windows, and the hygrometer in there says the humidity is at 60%.the temp went down...according to my digital radioshack thermometer (which i've used b4) its 98.1 F....is that too low? Should I attempt to up the temp? Also, is 60% humidity ok for hatching?
EDITED TO SAY: im not sure howaccurate the hygrometer is....its a accurite from wal-mart and the temp differs by one degreefrom my radioshack one.

YAY! SO....MY QUESTION IS....HOW LONG DO THEY USUALLY CHIRP BEFORE PIPPING?

Your temp is good @ 99.7. I would try to keep your humidity above 60%. I had one hatch yesterday (Yea!!) but nothing from the other 4. I am at work right now, so I hope some are hatching tonight and I will come home to more babies this morning. My daughter is in love with this one- its one of the smallest chicks we've had. It hatched from a smallish egg. Congrats on your peeping. Hopefully you will have one by morning too!! The one that hatched was peeping 16 hrs before it hatched. I'm not sure when it pipped because I was at work, but it was nice enough to wait until 8am to hatch so I got to watch. Good luck. I will check your progress whenI wake up later today.

ERIN! That's encouraging! The egg in the bator is still chirping, but it has now pipped and the egg is rocking back and forth!

I had another hatch today!! It had a hard time. Membrane was stuck on it. I'm losing hope for the other 3. Today is day 22 for me. Here's my 2 babies.

the chicks are cute, but you didn't mention you hatched a kiwi bird!

Lol, I use my beanies to give to the chicks too. Sadly enough, I have more than any sane person should, and have not even looked thought about them in more than 10 years, other than to get one out once in a while for the chicks. LOL.

how does an embryo look like when its stuck on the shell? i've forgot too to turn the eggs for about 5 days and when i candled them I shake them a little to see if they move and they actually move but when i turn the egg to the other side the embryo wont come up to the side that i turned the egg. Is that a stuck embryo? well all of the eggs that I have here are like that. The embryo will actually move but the blood vessels wont.

Erin....The egg that was pipped in the bator finally hatched.....But I'm gonna have to cull it cuz it has a crossed beak and is missing an eye
