The DAY I brought my rooster home my neighbors called the sheriff on us. We are unincorporated but they filed a complaint saying he was disturbing them...the people who have had plott dogs for years in a tiny kennel who howl all the time. Yes. My tiny roo is so terrible...
The deputy came out and told me we'd have to get rid of him. I told him to bring me a document stating which code in the state or county said I had to and I'd be happy to comply. I did post him for sale in case I got said document. The SHERIFF just left my house. Apparently they called again and complained directly to him. He came out and said that the "****" rooster wasn't any louder than "barking dogs". Guess who's keeping their roo!?!
Unless they can show documentation, don't give up your fight. There isn't a law here for that! He's not a danger and is well cared for sooo he's mine!
