I found my rooster Charles a new home

I found my 17 week old Dominique rooster-Charles a new home. Saturday we drove him up there, he is now living on a farm sanctuary with other rehomed farm animals, all different kinds. He was going to be placed in an area with 8 other roosters his age. He is still going to be my rooster as I am paying for his keep there. I can visit him, the drive up there is about 1 1/2 hr. I was very sad leaving him. It is still bothering me as I have never given up any of my animals. But I did wind up adopting 3 rabbits-sisters while I was there. So that was a good thing.
