I've had a lot of experience jumping, but I'm trying to work on my dressage these days. I'm looking for a horse that's at least 15 hh, though I'd take less in an Arab. I'd like them to have some dressage experience. I feel confident I can teach a horse to jump, but I can't teach dressage. My budget is really low. I'm hoping to find someone with a nice horse they need to unload to a good home. As many of those as there seems to be these days, I'm not holding my breathe. I don't have the money to deal with chronic lameness, which is always a risk in underpriced/free horses. In the marketplace, I'm looking at middle aged horses with dressage training and behavioural issues. My seat is solid enough to deal with, and correct, bucks, spooks, crow stepping, etc., as long as the horse has decent ground manners. Anyone know a horse that fits that description?
