I got a box from alaska - quail

Quail eggs don't count. If anything hatches they are for eating.

My chicken hatches are a whole nother level. I can't afford to pay $25 a doz and have $200 worth of eggs be scrambled by the PO. Hatching orps is serious buisness.

Why are you incubating a bird that hatches at 16 days, one that hatches at 18 days and one at 24 days together they're gonna be moved to hatchers right? so they can get the right humidity without messing up the other eggs.... and there gonna have seperate pens until the day the die, aren't buttons to small to eat? curtunix males start fighting at 5 weeks old i bet its the same with buttons and if its different species together they might even start before 5 weeks.....

Uh huh... We all believe that one! DH did a friendly tap on the nose last night to me and with each word said "No" tap, "More" tap, "Eggs" tap....

I'm still struggling with a fertility testing for another BYC member... but I swear I'll need a bed out in the coop for me!

I'm going to up my doses!

I'm also an egg-addict... guilty!

I'm glad you finally got them Miss P! I was beginning to wonder! I forgot to mention that you have to handle the Button eggs carefully... I've poked my finger through a couple myself.

But you still have more than enough, with Sam's eggs, to start a flock of your own in another 8 weeks or so...

Um...you're not planning on eating the Buttons are you? :| The Bobwhites and Coturnix are large enough, but the Buttons are WAYYYY too cute.

And for the record, yes, Miss P graciously volunteered to help me fertility-test my Button eggs, since I would be sleeping in the coop if I hatched more (than the 20 in my incubator right now...
