Peace, guys! DDD probably shouldn't have bashed the1much, he sounds like a nice guy, but his posts are hard for me to read, too. So are many other people's. Deciphering misspellings, typos, wrong word usage, (like confusing to, too, and two, or there, their, and they're) and haphazard punctuation, actually gives me a headache. Maybe it does that to her, too.
The1much, I think if I were sitting across the table having a cup of coffee with you, we'd have a great conversation, and your typing wouldn't bother me at all. Because you can't
hear spelling and punctuation errors. But I do skip over a lot of your posts, because they
are hard to read and they hurt my head. Maybe just how my brain is wired, which isn't your fault. It's my problem, not yours. And DDD's problem, not yours. I'm sorry if this was rude, I just see where both sides are coming from on this. There are smart, funny, nice folks who don't type so well. There are smart, funny, nice people, who have trouble reading it. Peace, already.
So back OT, I have an LG, and it's not very well designed, I agree. I think the solution for those of us who don't have the bucks to lay out for an expensve bator, is maybe to build our own. There are some good instructions to be found, if you google "homemade incubators" or "build your own incubator". There was a good article about this in
Countryside Magazine and Small Stock Journal awhile back. They have archived articles on their website, it may be there. The guy who wrote the article used a 12-volt battery to power his, so he didn't have to worry about power failures. He used an old picnic cooler for the body.
When I get tired enough of complaining about my LG, I'll break down and build one.
