Was just complaining that I can't afford to go. That would be worth the price of admission though!

Every part can be used. Heck you can even sell the stuff on eBay.

Garbage is gone huh? Those were some nice tails. Would be great on regalia.

There's ways of working around holes. Pieces can be tanned and use. I did beadwork with one that had a hole in it. The pelt was stretched on a limb frame, beadingwork throught the big hole and it was the first thing I sold one year from my booth. BTW it wasn't from being shot. I got a few pelts back from someone learning to tan and I usually want a smooth skin, so yeah. I don't know how he did it, at least I forget, but I'm old and it's allowed. I got bacl about 7 pieces that were damaged, but he got pretty good as he went on. Mostly rabbit. He was going to just toss them, but called first and I was like "NOOOOOOOO!!! I can work with those!" LOL

Yeah but if nothing else. The tails! Ohhhhhhh

The skinned faces are great to use also.

Just for future reference.

Might even of had a couple of Arkansas toothpicks in the bunch.

When some figure out what a Arkansas toothpick is, they might never clean their teeth again. But there was a day that they were used by many.

another way is to live trap then relocate the animal. there are special people who can come to relocate the animal, but that can take too long sometimes and you have to shoot them.

Again, please read the sticky rules at the top of this section! In most places, it is illegal to relocate raccoons. Again, I shall repeat-in most places, it is an illegal activity to relocate a raccoon!. In about two minutes, I'm afraid this thread will be closed since no one seems to be able to restrain themselves after numerous warnings by both members and a moderator to obey the rules of P&P.

Here in Arkansas people hunt and eat raccoons. Depending on the region you live people have different perception of animals. I agree that animal lovers tend to "humanize" animal emotions, probably because of movies like "Bambi" and "Finding Nemo." Good job on shooting all of them, at least they didn't suffer. If you get a chance (or the misfortune) to find any more, try cooking and eating it. I haven't had the chance, but hear that it's pretty good.

Good clear headed thinking on your part - to grab the gun before climbing up. I probably would have climbed first, then had to get down to get the gun or yell like an idiot until someone brought me a gun

Gosh, they are so stinking cute - when they are not being so stinking distructive.

If they keep comming back, after you've dispatched them......I'd say you have Zombie Coons? In that case, you have a whole other problem on your hands.

Yikes! I think these are just friends and relatives of the dispatched coming back, but maybe....We have had some weird things spotted around here.

For everyone talking about "it is nature for an animal to kill anouther", please remember we are also part of that food chain. i choose to sit on top of that food chain. Just like any other animal in the wild I will defend my home to the death, and I will kill anything that threatens the safety of my family, flock, or land.
