She is definately not a Welsummer.... they don't have the light chest like she does, although she may be a mix as her tail section looks like a wellie. I have 40 wellies.. and thier eggs vary from light brown to deep dark terra cotta, and are very large. The egg in the center of this photo came from my Polish pullet.

What ever she is , she is beautiful!!!

I think wellie cross also. light wellie streaks but other features not wellie. Probably why the egg is lighter.

Well, I was trying to avoid another brown egg layer, but I supposed they will taste no less good. I guess she's likely a welsummer who lays light brown eggs. At least she's pretty. I'll hold out hope for blue eggs from Nellie the white one.

Thanks a million for all your guesses. My hopes were for her to be the culprit so I can get more green and blue eggs from the other two. BYC people are the best!
