I’m so excited I got my first egg but it’s green! I don’t know my chickens breeds, I think they are mixed. I was expecting light brown eggs from them. Any idea who the culprit is??

Her comb is very flat so I can’t even tell what kind it is lol. I have two olive Eggers because I wanted green eggs lol. 🤦🏼‍♀️ They are just too young to lay
Congratulations!
It woud probably be the last one - it’s not a Wyandotte they have rose combs, that one has a pea comb and is probably an olive egger mix.

Are the three pictured the only ones that could have laid the egg?
I do think they're mixed breeds, where did you get them? Also how old are they?

Right now I'm thinking the culprit could be the first one. :D

My olive Eggers and black copper maran are still to young to be laying so I really don’t think it was them. My sons kindergarten hatched them in the spring and they are 18 weeks, I really wish I knew what they were mixed with! Doing so much research on chickens now and it kills me that I don’t know lol

Okay! How old are your Olive Eggers?

You could try this method to see who's laying.->

They are only 15 weeks, they don’t look ready at all.
