That is very cool and sad at the same time. We had a beautiful baby boy who died at the age of 5 mo and 20 days. We had him buried in a small rural cemetary that is very old. It was and continues to go through a revitalization. About 5 years before he was buried there a commitee was formed and it is now very well maintained and they have gathered alot of information about the people that are buried there. Most of the graves are from the 1800's. There are alot of children's graves there. From what I understand most of them died of small pox or other diseases. This cemetary is very beautiful and the fact that so many children were buried there is why we decided it would be the best place for him. (even though we have a modern cemetary that is right next door)
I hope that you can find out where the stone came from. It breaks my heart to think that some little child's grave is not marked. I know that that is unlikely you will find where it belongs, but I guess that is what makes it so sad.
Good luck.
