I guess it only looked gross

My chooks will stampede you for that leftover mac n cheese. Anything with pasta, cheese........and they LOVE the sauce with bits of meat. String cheese is their very fav - you can see their eyes bug out when they know I have that for them.

I hope they lost that half of chipmunk I saw them playing with a few weeks back. Probably not though.

Chickens will eat just about any animal protein you offer them. It is certainly a valid choice not to feed animal protein if you prefer.

I see animal by products on my feed sack's list of ingredients, and I suspect those are a lot more

than anything we have listed here so far. I would not use that feed if I could find a different one at a similar price.

I feed mine any and all leftovers that we don't want to eat: that includes meat, dairy, turkey/chicken carcasses, pasta, fruit, etc.. I take our families dinner plates and scrape what wasn't eaten right into the chicken's scrap bucket, then the next morning pour the kids' half eaten cereal bowls over top and take it out to the chickens. They get so excited over that revolting mess.

I love watching them eat spagetti noodles

I fed my chooks a bowl of leftover hamburger this morning and a few seconds later I saw one of the hens running around with a worm in her mouth.

Gee, I hope that didn't come outta the hamburger.

MAC -n- CHEZ does cause a stamped. It is so funny to see 20 or so chickens run/flying to get to you before you run out.
Even the very timed of the flock run over and take it from your fingers.

spaghetti noodles are a riot the way they fight over them.

Grapes cut in half and given to 2 week old chicks is the best thing to watch.
