I hate our coop color! :(

The pics are huge, I apologize. And they are of it UNPAINTED. I would like to post some of it now painted, BUT my computer is down that has the SD card slot, so I can't upload right now..GRR... Hopefully soon, I can though. Thank you for all the rplies. I am leaning toward repainting, but since it's off in the corner of our yard, and nobody will really see it unless they try too hard, I'm not going to rush out and do it too soon. I do want it done though. My DH worked so hard, I feel like I ruinied it with ugly paint!

love the design! if you take a pic with your cell phone and send it to your email then you can upload it...that is how I have all of my pics!

i'm painting one of my quail tractors camo. (yeah, I'm redneck, also maybe the neighbors won't see it). Also hd-darcy is that an exterior feeder on your coop? and if so how?

I love the design of your coop. When I paint something and don't like the color, I paint it over. Since it's already painted, a coat of another color should cover well. You might check out the coop designs section and look for colors you like better.

Nice coop, how tragic that you painted it the wrong color. After such a traumatic experience I would be devastated.

I would paint, just say first coat was primer

I painted my house behr squirrel which is a kind of gray blue, looks alot like unpainted stucco, which my barn actually is and they match..

Cool! I was wondering if I had to primer all over again... My husband left the trim off too, so taping it off shouldn't be TOO bad.. Thank you to the poster about saying that paint is cheap and that we spend $40 it all the time. I would have to agree. I think about $30 and I could have it the color I want!

I will repaint!!

My husband actually has a sprayer. So, maybe if I say "please" I will do the taping and he can spray it... That would save me a lot of time!! He doesn't like the color either, but he's been telling me I'm stuck with it. The brat.

i too have thought about repainting from green to barn red... but then i notice how nicely my deep grass green matches the ground and trees, i am happy.

i would also need to spend money on more paint, atleast 2 gallons, and the hard to get spots, would be yeah hard to get. so i think ill save my money.

to get back to your question: could you sand off the paint, and repaint? i couldnt find anywhere that you said what color you had painted it? if you did , i missed it, sorry.

good luck.. keep us updated with a picture!!!! (when you can)

When we finished our coop my 16 yr. old Son went out and picked leaves off the surrounding trees and placed them in a baggie. We then took this to the paint store and matched the paint and trim to the leaves and surrounding colors.
