Yikes!! I'm so shaking in my boots here...I have eight little Silkies in my brooder and 10 out back just waiting to tear me to pieces!

Should I be just as worried about my "hybrid" Silkie?? Quite honestly I believe he is far more dangerous. Reasons being, he can fly unlike his puffball counterparts and the fact that his crest lays back which exposes more of his mind controlling comb. He was a mistake...but was he??

Here's my theory on Hiro (the Hybrid Silkie):

The Silkies, knowing that we have controlled their breeding in such a manner to keep them flightless and their mind controlling combs concealed with large extravagant puffs on their heads, have been secretly devising a way to take over the world.

Their chance came this past Spring when and unknowing human thought it would be cute to hatch out some adorable little puff balls.

The Silkies, seeing their opportunity, switched one of the Silkie eggs with their own biologically engineered egg. This egg, they knew, would hatch into a solider, a hero if you will, that would have the flight capabilities and more mind control powers then 10 Silkies combined.

Now with their solider in training, it is only a matter of time before they take over. They are organizing folks, be warned!

Guess what I found!! Ok, on Henderson's Chicken Breed Chart, Silkies are the ONLY chickens to have hit 100%!!!!

The only ones that even come close are the Plymouth Rock with a 96% and the Belgian D'Uccle with a 93%!!

What do you think about that?!

It means they are succeeding in their evil plot to take over the world. [IMG]

Angie - that was a GREAT post! If I did smilies, I'd have one rolling off the screen!

I have another one just like Hiro, but younger if anyone is interested. I think the younger one is going to be more red.

Oh No!!!! Angie you mated one with a standard? This is bad.
The infiltration has begun. Even I cannot resist the looks
of Hiro. I must have one - No stop it - Resist.......

Henderson's chart rates a Silkie at 100%??? Not surprising
since they are genetically engineered to simulate a chicken.

WARNING: Angie just revealed herself as an undercover Silkie Pusher! [innocent-like] " Oh, yeah, I have ANOTHER gorgeous silkie, just like Handsome Hiro, if anybody WANTS him..." BEWARE!

I'm a chicken newbie (got 8 little 2.5 week old girls in my bedroom), but I have to say, the first time I saw a Silkie, all I wanted to do was stick a dowel up its arse and dust my ceiling fan with it.
